​His Story
​
Samuel Adam Bacon grew up in Peachtree City, GA. He attended the University of Georgia where he studied Accounting and was a member of Chi Phi fraternity. After college Sam spent time in Colorado and New York before moving back to Atlanta to start a demolition business.
Her Story
​
Emily Rebecca Tyler grew up in Auburn, AL. She attended Auburn University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and an Auburn University Cheerleader. After graduation, Emily moved to Atlanta to start a sales career.
Our Story
​
Sam and Emily were connected via a mutual friend. They played a bit of phone tag to get in touch. After a going back and forth, Sam decided to take matters in his own hands. He sent Emily a detailed Facebook message suggesting they go on a date that coming weekend. He opened the message by identifying a common theme, and sensitivity to potential childhood ridicule, with her initials being ET and his last name being Bacon. As well as being extremely witty, he went on to suggest 3 different, adorable and adventurous ideas for their first date. After reading the message (and after a skim through his profile pics), she was already convinced he was "The One". They had their first date at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, where Sam later proposed. And the rest is yet to come!
